A pastry chef with heart (and a lot of buttercream).

Allison Barker-Croce is an honors graduate of the CCI Pastry Chef program at the CT Culinary Institute (2002). She’s spent 26 years in restaurants, learning every phase step by step and still smiling when someone takes that first bite.

Allison’s artistry is shaped by undergraduate studies in art therapy at Albertus Magnus College, graduate work at CCSU, and time spent teaching art. She blends technique with creativity, which is why every cake and cookie feels personal.

Her favorite compliment? Watching guests light up over something as simple as a ginger cookie or as decadent as a chocolate mousse layer.

Allison and her husband Ritch named the bakery after their daughter, Temperance Love Croce. She’s often called “Love Heart” at home... so the name felt meant to be.

That’s the spirit behind the cafe: warm, family driven, and ready to celebrate the little moments as much as the big ones.
